I find the recent articles in the local and national press regarding John Taylor's claim against Ann Keen confusing and unnecessary.

Mr Taylor has successfully had the outcome of his trial for being involved in the theft of a safe overturned, effectively clearing his name.

He says that his 30-year battle over this matter is not about money, yet he pursued the Home Office for financial compensation and, when that failed, turned his attentions to Ann Keen to fight his case, ending yet again in the pursuit of compensation from her on the grounds of her being lazy.

Whatever injustice Mr Taylor may have experienced in the 1960s does not justify besmirching other people's reputations, the very same thing that apparently Mr Taylor is so aggrieved about in his own case.
