A MOTORCYLIST has been injured following a crash in Belmont Road, Uxbridge.

The man, aged around 50, was knocked from his Yamaha Diversion motorbike as he rode towards Uxbridge at approximately 9.25am this morning.

Paramedics treated the motorcyclist at the scene before taking him to hospital.

Witness Sheila Lewington, from Harefield, said: "The driver was chatting to someone and then he drove off. I heard a loud banging noise. I don't think either were going very fast. I hope he's ok."

Police and Transport for London staff helped divert traffic and the road was cleared by 9.45pm.
