A 33-year old was arrested by officers from SO15 Counter Terrorism Command yesterday (14 August) at a residential address in West London.
The suspect was detained on suspicion of assisting committing acts of terrorism contrary to Section 5 Terrorism Act 2006 and suspicion of terrorist funding contrary to Section 15 Terrorism Act 2000.
He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
Two addresses in west London were also searched as part of the investigation. These searches are now complete.
Enquiries continue.
The enquiries relate to an investigation into suspected terrorist activity in Syria.
