The best pub in Hounslow and Richmond will be revealed at the Twickenham Beer and Cider Festival this weekend.

The festival, now in its 20th year, opens this Thursday (October 23) with the announcement of the Hounslow and Richmond CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) pub of the year.

Visitors can sample more than 70 real ales and 20 ciders and perries at the festival, including Decade, specially brewed for the 10th anniversary of Twickenham Fine Ales.

As well as celebrating the brewery's birthday, the event will mark the CAMRA branch's 40th anniversary.

* The festival will take place at York House, in Richmond Road, Twickenham, from noon each day to 10.30pm on Thursday and Friday, and to 9pm on Saturday. Entry costs £3 (£2 on Thursday and Friday afternoon), with concessions for CAMRA members.
