Minister for Defence Equipment visits 'innovative' Greenford company

Philip Dunne learnt about how Ultra Electronics helps combat cyber threats

The Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology visited a Greenford business to talk about its contribution to defence.

MP Philip Dunne visited Ultra Electronics in Bridport Road, Greenford , on Wednesday (September 24).

He heard from CEO Rakesh Sharma about the company’s increasing contribution to defence and the Government’s secure communications, including how the company helps combat cyber threats.

Mr Dunne said: " This is a significant time for defence, and this visit has given me a real insight into an innovative British company.

"With cyber threats a challenge for both government and industry, it makes sense for us to all to be working together, sharing expertise to keep our country safe from emerging technological threats.”
