Metropolitan police helicopters swoop to Harrow... to find 'lighting equipment' mistaken for firearm

Harrow's Twitterati took to social media to question why helicopters were swamping the sky above.

A police helicopter swoops above the sky of London.

The metropolitan police helicopter team flew to Harrow after concerns a firearm was found in a park.

The sky above Headstone Manor Recreation Ground was dominated by police helicopters investigating a 'mysterious' bag which they believed had a firearm in it yesterday afternoon.

However, a spokesman for the police has since confirmed that what was actually found in the bag was 'lighting equipment'.
