Remembrance services this weekend

* Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service: Sunday, November 11, from 10am to 11.30am. The parade will be led by the Glen Trew Pipe Band will leave St Ann’s Shopping Centre in St Ann’s Road at 10am, marching to Harrow Civic Parade Ground. There will then be a service led at Harrow War Memorial outside the Civic Centre, starting at 10.45am.

* Remembrance Service Harrow on the Hill: Saturday, November 10, at 10.30am. Organised by the British Legion, a service will be held in Grove Hill, Harrow on the Hill.

* Pinner Remembrance Sunday Service: Sunday, November 11, from 10.40am at the War Memorial, High Street. The Sea Cadets will march to the war memorial, then after the service there will be a two minute silence and a blessing given by the Rabbi from Pinner Synagogue.

At 3pm at Pinner Synagogue, Cecil Park, there will be a small memorial for the consecration stone found with the names of 11 Jewish people who died in the Second World War. Refreshments will be available.

* Brent Remembrance Sunday Service: Barham Park Memorial, Harrow Road, Wembley, from 2.30pm. Cadets from Wembley and Sudbury branch of the Royal British Legion will march from their compound in Harrow Road and be met by dignitaries including the Mayor of Brent at the memorial in Barham Park at 2.30pm.
