I was pleased to have been present at the unveiling of the restored War Memorial at Featherstone Road Primary School.
But why was it there and not in the grounds of Featherstone Road Boys' School, as it was a memorial to their pupils who died in the First War World?
These pupils raised the funds for its erection, not the primary school.
Featherstone Boys' School was attended by boys over 11 years old from Bath, Featherstone Primary and Clifton Road Primary schools, plus some others. Historically it should have been sited at Featherstone Road Senior School as it is their heritage, not the primary school.
