FORMER pupils are hoping to relive ‘fond’ memories of a school in Kenton after 50 years.

Martin Rose, 65, was a pupil of what was then Claremont Secondary Modern School, now known as Claremont High School, in Claremont Avenue, from 1959 to 1964 and he hopes to get former classmates together for an anniversary reunion.

The Rydal Gardens, South Kenton, resident, said: “I do have fond memories from my time there and it has been 50 years since we left.

“It would be nice to get everyone together to find out what people have been up to since then.

“I bump in to people from time to time but we have never had an actual reunion before.”

Mr Rose, who co-founded Radio Northwick Park at Northwick Park Hospital, in Watford Road, Harrow, is hoping his peers will get in touch so an event can be organised.

He remembers a school trip to Europe and well-loved teachers and hoped that others would like to meet up to talk about their school days.

Anyone interested can email DANCE4UK@AOL.COM.

Mr Rose added: “A lot of people have stayed in the area so hopefully we would do something around here and get everyone together.”
