An illegal immigrant who helped grow more than 200 Cannabis plants will be ordered back to China after serving 18 months in jail.
Youjun Chen, 47, pleaded guilty to manufacturing the class-C drug at Harrow Crown Court today - but argued he thought he was producing Chinese medicine.
Police were called to a property in Harrow on September 1 when neighbours reported a break-in but during their investigation found three bedrooms, the loft and a spare room donstairs crammed with plants.
Judge Ronald Moss, sentencing, said: "I have long given up believing people who are approached to look after plants and offered money and accomodation in return do not appreciate the risk that goes with it."
