Police are hunting an attempted bank robber after he allegedly doused a Kingsbury NatWest in petrol after demanding cash.
Officers attended the branch in Kingsbury Road at around 10am yesterday after reports that a 25-year-old man had entered the bank with a can of petrol and poured it along the floor and in front of the cashier.
Police are now calling for witnesses to come forward after the suspect fled the scene, heading off towards Wembley on foot.
He left two empty bags inside the bank and abandoned the petrol can outside.
The suspect is described as around 5ft 7in and was said to be wearing a black balaclava, grey hoodie and black trousers.
No weapon was used in the attempted raid, no cash was taken and no one was injured.
