A man has been taken to hospital with stab wounds following a fight in West Drayton on Friday (April 24) evening.

The 24-year-old was rushed by ambulance to a central London hospital where he is in a stable condition. Police were called to reports of a fight outside the George and Dragon pub on the High Street shortly after 9.30pm.

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident and taken to a north London police station for questioning.

The George and Dragon is run by the Greene King chain, and a spokesperson said: “We were shocked when an incident that we understand had started elsewhere moved to outside our pub. Our staff acted professionally to deal with the situation and the pub was open as normal on Saturday.”

Police enquiries are ongoing.
