A man was struck on the head and robbed as he walked through Hounslow with a teenage girl.

The 26-year-old victim was walking along Hibernia Road yesterday with a 16-year-old girl when he was struck, at about 3pm.

Police said his attacker then fled towards Staines Road with the man's property. They did not say what had been stolen.

The victim was treated at a west London hospital for facial injuries.

Police said no one had been arrested and inquiries were continuing into the incident.
