A MURDER investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in Southall on Friday.

Police were called at 11.40pm on Friday the to reports of a stabbing at a business unit on the Bridge Road Industrial Estate, Bridge Road, Southall.

London Ambulance Service, air ambulance and police attended to find a male suffering from a single stab wound to the chest.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed and police are awaiting formal identification.

A 43 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody. He was due to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court this morning.

Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Howard Groves.
