A MAN who jumped out of a window after his house was on fire has injured his ankle.

Fire crews were called to a house fire in Cody Close in Kenton, in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, July 23).

A man jumped out of a window to escape the blaze and is believed to have broken his ankle.

A large part of the ground and first floors of the house were damaged by the blaze.

Two fire engines from Stanmore and Mill Hill went to the blaze.

London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 2am this morning to reports of a fire in Cody Close, Harrow, two ambulance crews attended the scene, staff treated a male with a ankle injury, he was later taken to Northwick Park Hospital."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
