A MAN was found dead in an underpass yesterday, it is believed he was stabbed.

London Ambulance Service pronounced him dead at the scene in Greenford Roundabout, where the A40 meets Greenford Road, at about 8.50am.

A shocked neighbour, 45, who lives 100 yards away, on Oldfield Lane North, said: "There were about 15 police cars and officers were blocking every entrance to the underpass.

"My sister walks down there a lot but I've warned her not to now."

Police have not yet identified the body, a post mortem is being held today at Uxbridge Coroner's Court.

Detective chief inspector Nicky Wall of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command is investigating.
