Police have launched an investigation into a stabbing in Chiswick this morning (4).

A man in his early 30s was found with stab wounds to his upper body on Chiswick High Road, close to the Sainsbury's Local store.

He was rushed to St Mary's Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

A police spokesman said: "A man in his early 30s was found with stab wounds to his upper body. He has been taken to a West London Hospital.

"He has been admitted to hospital where his condition is serious but stable.

"A police investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the stabbing led by officers from Hounslow police."

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and a doctor from the London Air Ambulance attended the scene.

LAS said they were called at about 5.25am to Chiswick High Road and treated a man at the scene before he was taken as priority to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.
