A MAN was killed after being struck by a train in what appears to be yet another suicide in Southall.

Police and paramedics were called to the train station in South Road just before 1pm yesterday (September 19) but the man was found dead at the scene.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said the death appears to be non-suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

The train involved was the 10.55 travelling from Cardiff to London Paddington. The lines were handed back at 2pm but there were heavy delays and cancellations for the rest of the day.

Earlier this year, a 50-year-old woman died on the tracks in Southall in an apparent suicide. A few weeks later a man was found hanging dead from a tree in Southall Park in Uxbridge Road.

More on this as we get it.
