A man died after falling from the top floor of the Kings Mall car park in Hammersmith yesterday.

The 55-year-old was seriously injured after plunging from the five-storey building on to Glenthorne Road at around 2pm, and died a short time later at Charing Cross Hospital.

Police cordoned off part of the car park and closed Glenthorne Road while investigations were carried out but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

The incident follows a similar fall from the balcony of the roof garden at the nearby Lyric Theatre on October 27, when a man in his 30s was seriously injured after tumbling on to King Street.

A spokeswoman for Kings Mall said the company was not able to comment on yesterday's incident.
