Violent robbers assaulted a man in Shepherd's Bush and then stole his wallet and mobile phone.

The 38-year-old victim lost part of his lip in the incident, having to have it sewn back on, as well as swelling to his eye, and cuts to his eyelid, his head and his hand.

He was walking down Cathnor Road at about 11pm on Monday, October 31, when he was approached by a man asking him for directions. Another man then hit him on the head and the pair then proceeded to beat then victim up.

The suspects stole his phone and a green wallet containing credit and debit cards. The first robber is described a being tall, lean black man with very dark skin tone, in his late teens to early twenties who spoke in a street-style London accent. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.

The second man was described as wearing an oatmeal or tan coloured hooded top.
