A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was seriously assaulted in Brentford.

Amish Kansagra, 28, handed himself in this morning and is being held in an east London police station.

Police had appealed for information on his whereabouts after a woman was severely injured in an attack in Brentford on Sunday (June 22) afternoon.

The victim of the assault, believed by officers to have been a domestic incident, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Mr Kansagra appeared at Uxbridge Margistrates' Court on Friday, June 27, charged with attempted murder and was remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Tuesday, July 8.

Police are still appealing for the public's help to trace a man in connection with a vicious street robbbery in Hayes.
