A man has been arrested after a gun and a large haul of suspected class A and class B drugs were seized in a raid on a home in Isleworth.

Police searched the property in Whitton Dene last Thursday (March 20), where they also found other drugs 'paraphernalia'.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply and possession of a firearm. He was taken to a west London police station and bailed to return for further police questioning in mid-May.

The raid was one of several search warrants executed by police in the borough last Thursday, as part of the London-wide Operation Big Wing.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Gurnam Dahri, of Hounslow CID, said: "This successful operation shows Hounslow police are not just reacting to crime but are actively disrupting criminal activity.

"We mean to ensure that those who commit crime in Hounslow can never be complacent; we intend to bring them to justice."
