A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with head injuries after two lorries crashed on the A40.

London Ambulance Service were called to the collision near to Swakeleys Roundabout in Hillingdon at 11.40am on Wednesday, July 30.

Two ambulance crews and London's Air Ambulance were sent to the scene to treat two patients.

The man in his 20s was taken as a priority to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

He was taken by road ambulance but was accompanied by a doctor form the air ambulance crew.

The other patient was treated for a back injury but was not taken to hospital.

Latest traffic news is that the A40 remains closed westbound at Hillingdon Circus which is causing major tailbacks and congestion in local roads.
