Deadly machine guns have been seized by armed police who stormed a flat on a Northolt estate.

A mach-10, two Scorpion machine pistols and more than 50 rounds of ammunition were found in a rucksack in a bedroom of a home in Rectory Park Avenue.

Officers arrested four people in the raid at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon with intent to endanger life.

A man aged 40 and two women, aged 38 and 56, have been bailed to return to a south London police station in February.
