20-year-old treated for 'minor injuries'

South Central Ambulance Service rushed to the scene at 7.48am after reports of multi-vehicle collision on the M40 between junctions 4 and 3.

A spokesman said in a statement:

We sent an ambulance to the scene and a 20-year-old male was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Traffic returns to normal

Traffic has now returned to normal following an earlier multi-vehicle collision on the M40 London-bound between J4 and J3 in High Wycombe.

It is not clear if anyone has been injured.

Delays of around half an hour remain with congestion back to J5.

The accident has now been moved to the hard shoulder on M40 London bound between J4 High Wycombe and J3 Loudwater.

All lanes have reopened and travel time is around 45 minutes.

Lane three (of three) was closed until around 8.20am while recovery was completed.

All traffic was temporarily being held until around 7.35am.

At around 8am, motorists faced delays of up to 60 minutes , according to Highways England.
