Does anybody know who owns this pink plumed pigeon that alighted in getwestlondon.co.uk reader Lorna Read's garden?

The exotically coloured bird is now comfortably at home in Hillingdon, but Lorna wants to get it back to its rightful owner. The question is: is it natural or a freak of nature?

"Today I saw a strange pigeon in my garden in Hillingdon," she said.

"It had a pink tail.

"At first, I thought it might be blood from an injury, but the bird seemed fine and the pink feathers match on both sides.

"Does anyone know what it is? Has any local pigeon fancier lost it?

"The pigeon is very tame and now waits outside the door hoping for a handout. I’m hoping the cat won’t get it!"
