Signing off
Train services are returning to normal following a signal problem on three circuits caused by a blown fuse at London Waterloo.
This meant that trains could not use platforms nine to 14 which caused disruption as services were altered and delayed.
The problem was fixed at around 2.21pm, although delays are expected till 5pm.
'Blown fuse' caused disruption
South West Trains has said a “blown fuse” was the cause of the signal problem.
Their website says:
Engineers have solved the issue after identifying a blown fuse which the 3 circuits are linked to.

Services 'being phased in to run as normal'
South West Trains has said “train services are currently being phased in to run as normal” following an earlier signal failure which meant trains could not use platforms nine to 14.
Failure of three track circuits
South West Trains has updated their online information, saying the problem is being caused by “a failure of 3 track circuits”.
Crew 'out of place'
Various people have said on Twitter that their trains are being cancelled and delayed because their guard could not get to the train on time.
South West Trains told one customer:
Apologies for this, trains are having to terminate early due to the reduced platforms, which also causes crew to be out of place.
Trains to Ascot
Luckily trains to and from Ascot do not seem to be affected by the disruption.

National Rail has said that disruption is now expected till 5pm.
Major train alterations
Services have been majorly altered as a result of the disruption, for example xx00 Waterloo to Portsmouth trains will only run between Guildford and Portsmouth.
Trains will be altered as follows:
- xx47 Salisbury to London Waterloo trains will only run between Salisbury and Basingstoke.
- xx50 London Waterloo to Salisbury trains will only run between Basingstoke and Salisbury.
- xx35 London Waterloo to Weymouth trains will call additionally at Clapham Junction and Basingstoke.
- xx20 Weymouth to London Waterloo trains will call additionally at Woking.
- xx24 Basingstoke to London Waterloo trains will only run between Basingstoke and Surbiton.
- xx54 Basingstoke to London Waterloo trains will only run between Basingstoke and Woking.
- xx23 London Waterloo to Alton trains will only run between Woking and Alton.
- xx53 London Waterloo to Alton trains will only run between Surbiton and Alton.
- xx39 Haslemere to London Waterloo trains will only run between Haslemere and Guildford.
- xx00 London Waterloo to Portsmouth trains will only run between Guildford and Portsmouth.
