A man has been arrested in Birmingham by police investigating the London terror attack.

The 30-year-old was arrested on Sunday March 26 on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts.

He was detained under TACT and currently remains in police custody.

A 58-year-old man who was arrested on March 23 on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts and detained under TACT remains in police custody.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on March 24 on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts under PACE and has been released on bail until a date in late March.

A total of 12 people have been arrested as part of the investigation. Nine have been released with no further action.

Four people died and another 50 were injured in Wednesday's attack .

Khalid Masood drove along the northern pavement of Westminster Bridge just before 3pm.

Masood then drove his car into the railings of the bridge near the Houses of Parliament before fatally stabbing policeman Keith Palmer.

He was then shot dead by attackers.

Police have revealed the attack lasted 82 seconds before Masood was shot dead.

The family of PC Palmer released a statement on Saturday night (March 25) paying tribute to him.

They said: “We have been overwhelmed by the love and support of our family, and most especially, the outpouring of love and respect for Keith.

“We want to thank everyone who has reached out to us over the past few days for their kindness and generosity."
