Two men have been left injured during a suspected acid attack stemming from a road rage incident.

Police were on the scene of the latest incident in the capital involving a corrosive substance at around 2.45pm on Tuesday

According to The Mirror , officers attended North Street in Barking after the alleged attack outside a children's centre.

A statement released by the Metropolitan Police read: "Police and the London Ambulance Service are on scene at an incident whereby two males have sustained non-life threatening injuries.

"[This was] resulting from an attack using a corrosive substance. It is believed to be a road rage incident at this stage.

"Abbey Children's Centre was not involved in the incident."
