TWO dancers from Hayes are ready to make their mark when they appear on TV talent show, Got To Dance.

Double act Chris Donnelly and Wes Clack, known as 'Chris and Wes', will be performing a high-octane routine on the Sky One show this Sunday, having impressed the star-studded judging panel and beaten thousands of other acts to a spot in the live semi-finals.

They are one of 28 acts to make the knockout stages, and will battle it out for the public vote and a place in the final, where the winner will walk away with £250,000.

Chris, who lives in Bittern Close, said: "Me and Wes are over the moon, and things have been crazy for the past few months.

"It has been an amazing experience and we are both loving every minute. Everything we've done before boils down to this.

"It's all been quite nerve-racking but it's been a lot of fun, and now we are just looking forward to getting on stage."

The pair, both aged 20, met four years ago, and since then have become inseparable and taken their dancing to a new level.

They are familiar faces locally, having taught and performed at numerous schools and youth centres around the borough, and Chris told the Gazette that he hopes the experience will be a springboard to bigger things.

"We hope to just gain as much as possible from it, and we will see for the first time what it is like being the main attraction, with the camera firmly on us.

"We can get to finally say; 'this is us', and we will be upset if we go out. We've worked really hard and were not ready for it to end yet."

Their first televised audition has received over 5,000 hits on video-sharing site YouTube, and the boys are hoping that the support can carry them through to the later stages.

"We have been cramming in rehearsals at every spare moment – at my house, in the street, wherever will have us really.

"We weren't that happy with our first audition in front of the judges, it wasn't as clean as it could have been but we must've done something right, and now we just want to make each performance perfect.

"This weekend, it will be full on – Chris and Wes will be there, you can count on it. People should just expect to be entertained and have a smile on their face when we're done.

"We have something special lined up for Kimberley [Wyatt, Got To Dance judge], so hopefully that will come off and she'll appreciate it.

"We're there to represent West London, and the support we have had so far has been amazing. We just need people to pick up their phones this weekend and get voting!"
