Another week, another step closer towards the X Factor crown for girl group Little Mix, who have made it to the show's quarter finals.

The girls continued their fine run of form on Saturday's (19) movie-themed live show, and answered to criticism that they were too predictable and hadn't shown off their voices in previous rounds with a sparkling rendition of En Vogue's Don't Let Go.

The song received wild applause from the studio audience, and lead judge Gary Barlow hailed it as their best performance to date, with the girls looking more and more like the next big girl group with each passing week.

With the field now whittled down to the strongest contenders, each of the acts stepped their game up, and it was scouse soloist Craig Colton who failed to win over voters with his run-of-the-mill rendition of James Bond theme, Licence To Kill.

Little Mix and the four remaining acts - Janet Devlin, Misha B, Amelia Lily and Marcus Collins - will each perform two songs during next Saturday's (26) show.

Little Mix startlet Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 20, of High Wycombe, worked as a mentor at Harlington Community School, in Pinkwell Lane, Hayes, earlier this year. Her mum, Debbie, is a history teacher at the school.
