THE TERRITORIAL Army – many of whom are serving in Afghanistan – will take part in the Royal Borough's Remembrance Sunday events this weekend.

The TA Parachute regiment, 31 Signal Regiment, Royal Yeomanry, University of London Royal Naval Unit and University of London Air Squadron will march down Kensington High Street at 10.35am on Sunday.

They will proceed to the war memorial at St Mary Abbot's church for a ceremony, led by Mayor Timothy Coleridge at 10.55am.

At the same time, deputy mayor, Cllr Terrance Buxton, will lead a ceremony at the Sloane Square war memorial, Chelsea. That event starts at 10.45am outside Holy Trinity, Sloane Street.

Twenty members of London's 256 Field Hospital, based in Adam and Eve Mews, off Kensington High Street, are currently serving in Afghanistan's Helmand Province as part of a three months tour.
