CROWDS will gather at war memorials across the borough this Sunday to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the First World War.

Remembrance Sunday is held on the second Sunday of November every year, which is the Sunday nearest to the anniversary (November 11) of the end of the war.

All over the country wreaths will be laid on war memorials and two minutes' silence will be held at 11am.
