The fourth annual overnight walk is on Friday June 6 and is always the Northwood hospice's biggest annual event.

This year the hospice aims to attracts at least 700 walkers and beat last year's £50,000 fundraising total.

Walkers can chose either a five-and-a-half or nine mile route, both of which start with a fun warm-up session.

The walk begins with a moonlit stroll in Northwood, through Moor Park, on to Northwood Hills then back to the hospice for a well-deserved breakfast.

Last year, the traditionally pink-themed ladies event was opened up to men and pets for the first time, which made the evening all the more fun with husbands and hounds dressing in frilly frocks, bobbing headbands and flashing novelties.

Registration costs £20 which includes a T-shirt, fundraising pack and breakfast.

The hospice needs to raise £1.4million each year to continue offering care to local people with life-limiting illnesses.
