PINNER's Kye Sones was kicked off the X factor last night after controversial star Rylan Clark survived a sing-off at the expense of our local boy.

Kye's mentor, Gary Barlow showed his anger over the public's vote and told presenter, Dermot O'Leary: "When you have an act like Rylan in the competition, good singers go home every week, I'm upset."

The 30-year-old, West End Lane, Pinner  performed Jason Mraz's I won't Give Up, while Essex boy, Rylan Clark sung Des'ree's Kissing You.

Kye, a former chimney sweeper was supported by judges, Louis Walsh and his mentor Gary Balrow, while Nicole Scherzinger saved her own act. Rylan was handed a lifeline when N-Dubz singer, Tulisa Contostavlos took the contest to deadlock by sending Kye home.

She said: "Kye, that was one of your best vocal performances but when it comes down to it, it's not just a singing competition. It is the X Factor and the act I look forward to seeing each week is Rylan."

Kye insisted he would pursue a singing career saying: "I will be releasing an album. This has given me the platform."
