The first outdoor music festival packed with some of the best DJs and MCs will arrive at the Hounslow Urban Farm in Feltham for some May Day Bank Holiday fundraising madness.

Boom in the Barn 2014, presented by Boom Nights, an events company in west London, hopes to give the farm on Faggs Road a massive boost as they desperately need donations to start building work on the Tropical Zoo - made up of a centre for education conservation and a rescue centre for animals.

Spinning the decks from KISS FM will be number one dance DJ Steve Smart, house music master DJ Pioneer and Charlie Hedges, plus Spin E B presenting Garage Nation and a line up of other stars from Flex fm. Hosts otherwise known as MCs on the night behind the mike will be MC Sparks and MC DT.

Organiser Michael Kennedy from Boom Nights who hopes the event helps raise much-needed money for the farm, said: "This is the first time we are doing a local outdoor event.

"We've not done anything like this before and we are looking forward to it."

Founder of Tropical Zoo Tony Purdy who runs the farm alongside his daughter Alice, have had a difficult journey over the past few years since being turfed out of their former site after 21 years in Syon Park.

They moved to the Hounslow Urban Farm thanks to help from Hounslow council but have been desperately raising funds through fun days and other events to reach their £2million target to build a new Tropical Zoo - £500,000 to haul in builders to start work on the new 44 acre site and the remaining £1.5 million to bring back the rest of their flock which were once housed in their Syon Park zoo before it was shut down.

Boom in the Barn is for over 18s only.
