Two people have admitted their parts in the death of a man in Kingston, who was found with critical stab injuries following a "disturbance".

Derick Mulondo died at the scene, in Cambridge Estate, on June 6 after officers found him with critical stab wounds.

On Monday (December 4), Shauna Doyle and Eric Wertz appeared at Kingston Crown Court.

Originally charged with murder on June 8, the court later accepted the pair's pleas - Doyle of manslaughter and possession of an offensive weapon, and Wertz of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

On the day of Derick's death, Metropolitan Police officers were called to Cambridge Estate at 6pm following reports of a disturbance.

There, they found the victim with critical injuries and despite the best efforts of London Ambulance Service and air ambulance paramedics, he died at the scene.

Eric Wertz, 45, of Comber Road in New Malden, pleaded guilty to GBH and possession of an offensive weapon

Doyle, 23, of Burritt Road in Kingston, and Wertz, 45, of Comber Road in New Malden, will be sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on January 5.

A 51-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation was released with no further action.
