KING Street will be shut for four days next month as Thames Water attempt to fix leaky pipes.

The road will be completely closed between Hammersmith Broadway and Leamore Street from Tuesday, April 3 to Friday, April 6.

Access to King Street between Leamore Road and Dalling Road will be diverted while pedestrian access will be unaffected and traffic also redirected along Shepherd's Bush Road.

Thames Water will work 24/7 on installing a monitoring chamber while keeping noise to a minimum between 11pm and 7pm.

Hammersmith and Fulham Council is taking advantage of the closure to complete other essential work on the stretch including tree pruning and gully repairs.

UK Power Networks will also complete a road crossing from Bridge Avenue to Leamore Street.

Overnight resurfacing work is also planned for Fulham Palace Road next month between Talgarth Road and Chancellors Road.

It will be carried out between midnight and 5am between April 2-5 and April 10-13 and will be followed by anti-skid work carried out between April 16-23.
