A brothel in Kenton Lane has been closed after residents complained about being approached for sexual services.
The house was issued a warning notice by Kenton West Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) after a crackdown on Sunday.
The notice informed the business it needed to stop trading and the police will be visiting the premises regularly to check the owners are complying.
Sergeant Den Fowler, from the Kenton West SNT, said: "I would like to congratulate and thank the local residents that brought this information to the notice of the Kenton West Safer Neighbourhood Team and with the cooperation of our local community we have been able to eliminate a potentially serious problem by bringing to a timely and effective closure of this nuisance premises.
"If they do not stop trading or they come back they will be arrested and prosecuted."
Residents had complained to police after seeing an increase in male callers, while other nearby houses were receiving calls from cilents asking for sexual services by mistake at the wrong addresses.
