I HAVE been following the spat between Councillor G Singh and a certain Mr Taylor in the letters to the editor column of the Gazette.

Mr Taylor says a Conservative leaflet, intouch, contained some half truths, despite Cllr Singh emphatically maintaining that each and every word of his leaflet is true and verifiable and Mr Taylor saying it is not the case.

The onus therefore lies with Mr Taylor to prove his assertions.

Despite him writing two letters to the Gazette, he has not been able to quote even a single example of incorrectness in the leaflet.

I think he has been less than honest in his claim and therefore should apologise for making wrong allegation.

The silence of Southall Labour councillors, who have voted against toilets being installed in the Broadway, the ward forums where each ward community stood to gain £40k in extra funding, is deafening.

There is also quiet on the subject of Cllr Dheer's tactics employed to delay investment of £1.5m to refurbish Jubilee Garden Library and establishment of three GP surgeries therein, and Cllr Sharma initially protesting against the closure of the Norwood Green post office and then voting for the closure of the same. They have shown a remarkable lack of courage to defend their actions.

The Southall Labour Councillors, including the Labour MP, have shown that they use Southall as fodder to get elected and once elected they do not work in the interest of Southall but against it.

I would be grateful if Cllr Singh continued to publish his leaflet regularly so that we are fully aware of what goes on at the town hall.
