Inspired by her pop idol Jessie J, little Anabelle Booker has cut her long locks to help a girl with cancer.

Her tresses will be fashioned into a wig by  the Little Princess Trust, which takes donations of real hair and makes hair pieces for girls who have lost their own hair through the process of chemotherapy.

On Saturday, July 5, Anabelle and her mum, Nicky, went down to Chris’s hairdresser's in Kingshill Avenue, Hayes, for the ‘big lop’.

Annabelle said apart from a small trim last year, she has not had a haircut for several years.

She raised the £200 herself for the cost of getting the wig made, and if you want to help her raise even more for the charity, go to her donations page at www.justgiving.com/Anabelle-booker.

Anabelle now sports a very fetching bob. Her hair is on its way to China, where the wigs are made.

“I’m doing it because Jessie J did it but also because I want to help people and raise some money,” said Anabelle.

The pop star’s hair was chopped off almost entirely for Comic Relief back in March, live on television.
