The jury has adjourned in the case of a Harrow student who apparently lured her ex-boyfriend to a car park where he was repeatedly stabbed and left for dead.
Pinky Patel, 22, of Liddell Close, Kenton, is on trial after alledgedly coaxing 25-year-old Rakesh Patel into an attack by two thugs in November 2006.
Janesh Velani, 26, of Plaistow, east London, her former boyfriend is also on trial for wounding with intent.
Judge David Mole QC summed up the trial for the twelve member jury at Harrow Crown Court today.
He told jurors they needed to make their own decisions about whether the defendants were telling the complete truth after both admitted to lying about the incident during the course of the two week trial.
Judge Mole said: "Both defendants agreed that they told some lies, but only bother with the things they have stated as lies and then ask whether they support the case for Pinky Patel and Jahesh Velani.
"Pinky Patel may not have wished for her family to find out details of her relationship with Jahesh Velani, that may be her explanation for lying."
The judge also told to jury to take into account both defendants were young and had no previous criminal convictions.
The jury has been sent home for the weekend and will sit again on Monday (23).
