Comedy icon John Cleese has helped five young Hillingdon designers build a Monty Python-themed game.
Chris Curd, 29, a former pupil of John Penrose school (now Harefield Academy in Northwood Way) owns Boondoggle Game Studios, in Salamander Quay, Harefield.
He employs his brother Andy Curd, 24 and brothers Dan Spicer, 30, and John Spicer, 26, who are all originally from Harefield, and another friend Ben Beckford, 26, who lives in Hayes.
The team had been working with John for four years since Chris's sister company, Chris Curd Design, built his website for him when they suggested John help them make a game.
"John Cleese really likes working with young people," said Andy.
"My brother Chris gets on really well with him. He's been really involved with the game."
The Boondoggle team had already spent a lot of time with John as his IT manager, travelling to Dubai and South Africa with him.
"That was pretty cool," said Andy.
"Then Chris came up with the idea of the Silly Walks game and he was really behind the idea."
The Ministry of Silly Walks is based on John's famous sketch from the iconic TV show and is available as an iTunes app and on Google Play.
The simple game involves John's character travelling around London doing his ridiculous walk and collecting gold coins and avoiding obstacles.
The character is voiced by the man himself.
"Because we were already so close to John it was easy to get the legal rights to Monty Python," explained Andy, who now lives in Chiswick.
"We all got to go to with him to record the voices for the game at a studio in London.
"It was amazing. He's worked on so many films doing the voices, like Shrek 2 and 3.
"Me and Chris were just sitting there asking him to do all these different voices."
Andy says working with John has been a joy.
"He's really lovely - you hear these stories about super celebs being unsavoury, but he's not like that at all. We got along really well."
The team are all really excited about the project.
"We just have a great time. Boondoggle is a really fun place to work," he said.
"Obviously we're all friends, but Chris really cares about our personal development - the opportunity to work on this game is ridiculous.
"It's a fast track way to get in to the buisness."
The game has already gained celebrity fans including Hollywood actor Hugh Grant and comic and presenter, Stephen Fry, who have both tweeted about it.
And the other Pythons, who are currently performing in a live show at the O2 Arena, love it too.
"They've been really supportive and given lots of praise," added Andy.
The game launched on June 26 after two years in the making.
