ANYONE who has dreamt of being a high flyer but has lacked the drive to find a new career can get advice and assistance at a job fair.

Jobs & Careers Heathrow is being held at The Thistle Hotel, Heathrow, on Wednesday September 17 and Thursday September 18.

As well as meeting potential recruiters face-to-face visitors can also get free expert advice on how to improve their skills or buff up their CV.

There will be over 40 companies at the event, which is in its twelfth year, including the London Borough of Hillingdon and the London Borough of Hounslow, London Fire Brigade, the Metropolitan Police, Office Angels, Gate Gourmet, VOSA, BSM, Caviar House, G4S and Serco.

Fran Beasley, deputy chief executive of Hillingdon Council, who are sponsoring the event, said: "Hillingdon is proud to be supporting this event which will help employers meet local people with the skills, talents and enthusiasm to join them.

"There will also be valuable advice from teams of experts who can help people find out how to train for new skills, write a perfect CV or even set up their own business."

Jobs & Careers Heathrow is a free event and anyone in the job market is welcome to come along. The doors open at 11am on Wednesday until 6pm and 10.30 am on Thursday until 3 pm.

Free buses to the hotel run regularly from Hayes and Harlington station and Hounslow West Tube Station.
