Invictus Games star Derek Derenalagi dropped in to St Helen’s School in Northwood last week to give an inspirational talk to the pupils.
Mr Derenalagi, who lost both legs while serving as a soldier in Afghanistan, took part in both track and field events at the recent games, organised by Prince Harry, and competed in discus and javelin at London 2012.
He told the girls at the school in Eastbury Road about the importance of staying positive and working with your situation rather than giving up.
