A Hayes man has been jailed for three years after he was caught by police with a large quantity of heroin.
Sarnjit Chhokar,of Roseville Road, Hayes, was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court last month for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
The 42-year-old was in his car on September 5 last year in Nestles Avenue,Hayes, when he was stopped by police shortly before 4pm.
The officers noticed the car smelt of drugs and carried out a search on Chhokar before discovering the heroin.
Karim Kaoud, of Greenford, was also jailed, for two and half years, after he was caught with 800 grams of cocaine in Yeading Lane,Hayes.
The 25-year-old was caught on August 27 last year shortly before 1pm after police noticed that he was acting suspiciously in his car.
They stopped the vehicle,and when they told him he was going to be searched he attempted to run off and get rid of the cocaine.
He was jailed at Harrow Crown Court in early December for possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
Detective Sergeant John Price said: "Controlled drugs are undoubtedly a generator for other crimes such as burglary and robbery.
"The proactive unit at Hillingdon Police will use all available tactics to ensure that persons involved in the use,production and supply of controlled drugs will be dealt with in a robust manner."
