I am writing to you regarding the story about Guru Singh published in the Hayes and Harlington Gazette [Guru told to move on, March 18].
I'm glad that the council have finally done something about this eyesore; good on the councillors I say.
I have moaned about this man and his followers to anyone who would listen for years. Now at last someone listened.
Hayes for some reason is a magnet for people who like alcohol in great quantities, never wash and annoy the residents - the sort of people who use this man's service. The sooner it is cleared up the better.
I have no sympathy for them. If that sounds callous so be it. If they are in dire straits then there are facilities available to us all.
I SERVE and work with the homeless. It is always a great sadness to see these poor human beings - old, middle aged, young mothers, domestic violence victims. No one gets turned away.
If Baba Ji Guru Singh is not allowed to help these less fortunate poor souls, then who will? [see reference above].
The two politicians have no compassion. How do they judge these homeless people 'undesirables'?
Remember, there but for the blessing of God go I.Think on, they are all someone's daughters, some-one's sons, who, in a lot of cases, came away from their homes in search of a better life, only to end up homeless.
God save me from politicians.
