An X-Factor reject from Hounslow has said he would collaborate with Cheryl Cole despite being snubbed – if the money was right.

Rapmasterrav, aka Ravnek Kalirai, was ridiculed by judges on the ITV show but has bounced back to release his first single and is eyeing bigger things on the horizon.

Louis Walsh described his performance as 'awful' as Danni Minogue covered her ears in disgust but Ravnek still thinks he can become as big as Eminem with his unusual combination of bhangra and drum and bass.

And, if he hits the big time, the 26-year-old web designer, who lives with his parents in Spring Grove Road, Hounslow, has promised not to hold grudges against the judges who put him down.

"The person I would most like to work with in the world is Cheryl Cole," he said. "She's heard my music and maybe in a couple of years if the money's right I would work with her."

Ravnek grew up in Hounslow, went to Isleworth and Syon school and got a degree in Financial Computing from Brunel University. He sang a remix of Justin Timberlake's SexyBack at his X Factor audition but got four 'no' votes from the judges.

He said: "I don't really care about the judges now – If I get nominated for any big music awards they'll see I've switched it around. I think Cheryl was feeling it – if I had blown her a kiss and begged for a chance I think she would have said yes.

"It didn't go too well but it got me noticed and opened up a few doors for me. I could be as good as Eminem or Timbaland but I just don't have the name or the record sales they do. Eminem had a lot of struggles but he made it. With the internet revolution you never know what could happen to me."

Ravnek's debut single, Jatt, is a dance version of a Bollywood-style bhangra hit and was released on November 2 on iTunes and Amazon.

"I am not sure it will make it into the top 40 but it's just a little single to make some money to work up to my next project," he said.
