Children's favourite cartoon characters Peppa Pig and Disney's favourite Mickey Mouse kept children entertained at a pub charity fundraiser.

Families piled into The Airman pub, on Hanworth Road in Feltham , for the Help for Heroes fundraiser which helped drum up more than £300 for the charity.

Youngsters also enjoyed play time on a bouncy castle, getting their face painted, and children's entertainer Kate Fearons kept children busy in her guise as Snow Queen Elsa from popular animated film Frozen.

Meanwhile the older crowd were delighted with a number of live performances from bands including Deep Purple, Twisted Rhythm and Red Herring and indulged in barbecue burgers.

Landlord Chris Beauchamp said: "I am extremely pleased with the event and the way it was delivered to our guests.

"The local community really got behind us and we enjoyed a wonderful day which concluded with a donation total of over £300 going to Help for Heroes.

"I'd like to thank all the bands who performed, our volunteers and all those who joined us in helping make this such a fantastic day."

Help for Heroes Fundraiser was hosted on Saturday August 30.

Every Saturday over the next three months bar staff look forward to welcoming old faces and new, as they prepare for the festive season.
