I AM sick and tired of developers destroying Green Belt areas before applying for planning permission (Anger grows at bulldozed land, Harefield Gazette, February 17).

The Medi-Parc site has been designated as a Grade 1 Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, and is adjacent to a Site of Special Scientific Interest: Old Park Wood.

On this site there are rare plants, including bee orchids, white pyramidal orchids, common broomrape etc, as well as a wide variety of wildlife, such as marbled white and common blue butterflies.

When the developers recently moved on to the site with earth-moving equipment, they told the Hillingdon Council planning enforcement officer that they were only tidying up - while choosing not to remove the large, rusty storage container and other man-made rubbish.

The Medi-Parc site is in the Green Belt and part of the Colne Valley Park. How do we stop bullying developers?
